British Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan has been criticised by his colleagues for comparing the actions of the president of the European Parliament to reduce disruptions in the EU assembly to a law under Nazi Germany.

"It is only my affection for you ... that prevents me from likening this to the Ermaechtigungsgesetz," said the Conservative MEP referring to the 1933 law that gave Hitler extra powers.

Why Are Ron Paul's Supporters So Angry?

Why Are Ron Paul's Supporters So Angry?
By Chuck Baldwin
January 29, 2008

When Glenn Beck interviewed Congressman Ron Paul a few weeks ago, he said that he had received death threats from people purporting to be Ron Paul supporters. I have heard other journalists make similar accusations against Congressman Paul's supporters. Of course, I have no way of knowing whether any of this is true or not. And neither does anyone else.
My own experience has been that Congressman Paul's supporters have always demonstrated grace, patience, and courtesy. I have met and worked alongside Ron Paul supporters in at least four states, and I have never personally witnessed any of the anger and bitterness of which they are accused.
Not that Ron Paul's supporters do not have reason to be angry. They most certainly do. In fact, all of us should be angry.
Ron Paul's supporters have been subjected to the most overt and outlandish brand of humiliation and censorship ever seen in modern politics. The cable news Republican Presidential debates have been jokes. For every one question (and usually a stupid, irrelevant question at that) asked of Dr. Paul, the other participants will get three or four. Maybe more. Even though Ron Paul has received more money, more votes, and more delegates than Rudy Giuliani, the press continues to ignore Mr. Paul while showering Giuliani with coverage.
In addition, Ron Paul's own party continues to treat him and his supporters as second-class citizens--or perhaps even as aliens from a different planet. They are subjected to insults of every type. Not to mention enduring every conceivable method to censure or remove Dr. Paul from the political process. He has been denied access to platforms, excluded from debates, removed from GOP Presidential lists, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
I say again: if anyone has a right to be angry, it is Ron Paul supporters. But perhaps the greater question is, Why are not all of us angry? No, I do not mean in a cruel or unkind way, but where is our outrage for what the ruling elite are doing to our country?
We should all be angry at the way politicians lie to us, deceive us, and manipulate us. We should all be angry at the way both major parties have completely ignored and trampled constitutional government.
Are we so gullible that we cannot see when a politician says one thing to one group of people and a totally opposite thing to another group of people? Are we so naive that we cannot tell when a politician changes his beliefs simply in order to garner votes?
Come on folks, let's get real: do you really expect John McCain to abandon his efforts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens? Do you really expect Mitt Romney to be a champion for the unborn? Do you really expect Mike Huckabee to suddenly be the champion for limited government spending? Do you really expect Rudy Giuliani to keep his pants zipped?
Have the American people become so numbed to truth and reality that we cannot distinguish the genuine from the phony--even when it stands right in front of us? Perhaps so. However, if the American people had any of the character and resolve of our forebears, we would be steaming mad about what our political and business leaders have done to our country.
Yes, we should be angry at the way our government has repeatedly lied to us about the economy, about sending our jobs and manufacturing industries overseas, about Iraq, and about EVERYTHING! Yes, dear friends, they lie to us about everything. It has gotten to the point that, frankly, I believe NOTHING the government tells us. They have proven themselves to be totally disingenuous and downright duplicitous. And, frankly, I'm angry about it.
In addition, I can even understand whatever anger and exasperation Ron Paul's supporters feel regarding my fellow evangelical believers. Today's Christians--and especially our pastors--have become little more than toadies for the establishment elite. They apparently have never read our U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, or Bill of Rights. They are seemingly oblivious to our great American history and heritage. They seem to lack the most elementary understanding of even the most basic American principles.
For example, it makes absolutely no sense that Christian pastors would embrace the sudden pro-life candidacy of Mitt Romney and reject the proven, twenty-year pro-life record of Ron Paul. It makes no sense that evangelical Christians would embrace the pro-illegal amnesty, pro-McCain/Feingold, pro-No-Child-Left-Behind, pro-gun control John McCain and reject the proven, twenty-year no-amnesty, pro-freedom, anti-No-Child-Left-Behind, pro-Second Amendment record of Ron Paul. It makes absolutely no sense that Christians would fall for Mr. Big Government himself, Mike Huckabee, and reject the champion of limited government, Ron Paul.
Beyond that, how is it that pastors and evangelicals cannot see through the GOP's complicity in helping to establish a Luciferian New World Order? How can they be so blind and dumb regarding the global machinations of the Council on Foreign Relations? How can they not understand and reject the philosophy emanating from the Trilateral Commission and Bilderbergers?
Ask the average pastor and Christian about the CFR, the Trilateralists, or the Bilderbergers and they just stare into space. They are absolutely clueless. Ask them about the burgeoning NAFTA superhighway, North American Union, or Amero and they look stupefied. Again, they are absolutely clueless. And, yes, I am angry about it. I am saddened and angered at the lack of knowledge, perception, and discernment demonstrated by my Christian brethren.
I believe with all my heart that if the pastors and Christian people of America would come off their high horse and start supporting the principles of liberty, the U.S. Constitution, and limited government, not only would there be a rebirth of freedom in America, there would be a spiritual revival as well.
As it is, freedom-loving people cannot see past the ignorance, elitism, and partisan phoniness of modern Christians in order that they might see Christ. The Scripture plainly says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (II Corinthians 3:17)
When America's Colonial preachers and Christian people fought for liberty and independence, God gave us two Great Awakenings. I believe another Great Revival would come to America, if our Christians and pastors would stand on their hind legs and once again fight for liberty and independence. And, yes, I am also angry that they will not do that either.

Rambo v. Walker, Texas Ranger: Stallone Backs McCain Against Norris’ Huckabee

Talk about tough opponents.

After Mike Huckabee enlisted action star Chuck Norris to watch his back on the rough-and-tumble campaign trail, John McCain is tag-teaming with Rocky himself.

Sylvester Stallone told FOX News that he’s supporting the Arizona senator for the 2008 presidential nomination — McCain, a former Vietnam POW, is the real Rambo, Stallone seemed to reason.

“I like McCain a lot,” Stallone said in an interview that aired Thursday. “Things may change along the way, but there’s something about matching the character with the script, and right now the script is being written and reality is pretty brutal and hard edge and like a rough action film, you need somebody who’s been in that to deal with it.”

Connect the German Dots

Newsletter 2008/01/25 - Cultivating Relationships
BERLIN/FLENSBURG (Own report) - The German government is establishing an Internet portal to connect German-speaking minorities in Europe and Asia, thereby expanding the political manipulation of population segments of foreign countries. "Members of ethnic German minorities of one country" could more easily than ever "be linked up to German minorities of other nations" and can "cultivate intensive relations to interested parties in Germany," explained Christoph Bergner, the German government's Commissioner for Repatriation Issues and National Minorities in Germany. The German government has already initiated a special support for the German "Volksgruppen", conceived of as communities of blood-ancestry and is using them as "bridgeheads" within their respective nations, e.g. Poland, Denmark and Kazakhstan. The new internet portal is being initiated by an association that was founded in the 1950s by "Volksgruppen" experts of the 1930s. Since its inception, the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN), with headquarters in Flensburg, (Schleswig-Holstein) has been confederating the ethnic minorities from all over Europe under German leadership.
The association pursues the prototype set by a predecessor organization in the period of the Weimar Republic. The chair of the association's advisory committee is an undersecretary in the Ministry of the Interior.

"(...) Yet, as Major General J.F.C. Fuller, one of the century’s great military historians, wrote in connection with the atomic bombings:

Though to save life is laudable, it in no way justifies the employment of means which run counter to every precept of humanity and the customs of war. Should it do so, then, on the pretext of shortening a war and of saving lives, every imaginable atrocity can be justified.106

Isn’t this obviously true? And isn’t this the reason that rational and humane men, over generations, developed rules of warfare in the first place?

While the mass media parroted the government line in praising the atomic incinerations, prominent conservatives denounced them as unspeakable war crimes. Felix Morley, constitutional scholar and one of the founders of Human Events, drew attention to the horror of Hiroshima, including the "thousands of children trapped in the thirty-three schools that were destroyed."

He called on his compatriots to atone for what had been done in their name, and proposed that groups of Americans be sent to Hiroshima, as Germans were sent to witness what had been done in the Nazi camps.

The Paulist priest, Father James Gillis, editor of The Catholic World and another stalwart of the Old Right, castigated the bombings as "the most powerful blow ever delivered against Christian civilization and the moral law." David Lawrence, conservative owner of U.S. News and World Report, continued to denounce them for years.107

The distinguished conservative philosopher Richard Weaver was revolted "by the spectacle of young boys fresh out of Kansas and Texas turning nonmilitary Dresden into a holocaust . . . pulverizing ancient shrines like Monte Cassino and Nuremberg, and bringing atomic annihilation to Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

Weaver considered such atrocities as deeply "inimical to the foundations on which civilization is built."108

Today, self-styled conservatives slander as "anti-American" anyone who is in the least troubled by Truman’s massacre of so many tens of thousands of Japanese innocents from the air. This shows as well as anything the difference between today’s "conservatives" and those who once deserved the name. (...)"

Rise of the Ron Paul Republicans

"In 1802, then-President Thomas Jefferson wrote the following in a letter to Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

[... "standing armies" e espalhados por todo o mundo e - monetary - "inflation" é o que mais têm, Jefferson conhecia a história de Roma...]

Thomas Jefferson's words are proving prophetic indeed. Today, the economic bubbles created by the Fed have resulted in massive foreclosures across the country while China and Saudi Arabia, sitting on trillion-dollar sovereign wealth funds, snap up major interests in marquee American companies. America, once the world's greatest creditor nation, is now its greatest debtor.Jefferson also stated in his letter to Secretary Gallatin that

"the issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Ron Paul, as well as the tens of thousands flocking to his campaign, is saying precisely the same thing: By legalizing competing currencies we can end the Federal Reserve's monopoly on our money supply and begin to restore value to the dollar."

Arab propaganda wrong about Israel

Arab propaganda wrong about Israel
It is not uncommon for pro-Arab propaganda to accuse Israel of engaging in "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians.
The only deliberate ethnic cleansing known to the undersigned is the eviction in 2005 of 10,000 Israeli Jews from their homes and communities in Gush Katif, Gaza.
There is a looming threat of further expulsion of 240,000 Israeli Jews from Judea and Samaria (the West Bank).
This is the declared goal of the Palestinian Authority under the "moderate" Mahmoud Abbas.
The perverse idea here is the creation of yet another Arab state, the 23rd in number, completely cleansed of Jews, while the state of Israel continues to be the democratic host to 1.2 million Arabs.
Israel was designated a Jewish state by the League of Nations and the United Nations. There are 22 Arab countries, one of which, Jordan, is 78 percent Palestinian.
Therefore the question before the world's jury should be: Do the Palestinians deserve a second state in addition to Jordan?
UN Resolution 194 (clause 11) proposes, among other solutions, the resettlement of Palestinian refugees outside Israel and the payment of compensation.
Clearly, the natural venue for them is Jordan.
Arabs' incessant anti-Israel propaganda has managed to implant tremendous confusion in people's minds.
There is a difference between civil rights to privately owned property and political rights to a sovereign state. Nobody is denying West Bank Arabs ownership of their titled private lands.
There is only one Jewish state. Its survival depends entirely on viable and defensible borders. Those who propose the creation of yet another Arab state in Judea and Samaria, thus rendering Israel nine miles wide, clearly have a single goal in mind: the demise of Israel.
These are the real ethnic cleansers.

Ron Paul slams stimulus package, Fed rate cuts

Via LRCBlog: Jan 27, 2008 (LBO) – Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has slammed a US economic stimulus package based on tax-refunds and called for fiscal prudence and less Federal Reserve money printing, which caused the current turmoil in the first place.

Talking to Fox News television Paul asked where the money for the tax refunds - the cornerstone of the Bush administration stimulus package - was coming from.

"Where is the money coming from? We don't have any money over here in Washington," Paul told Fox News's Your World with Neil Cavuto.

"We have consumed everything we have gotten. So, we either have to borrow it from China or we print the money, which is inflationary. So, I'm opposed to that."

Paul says Federal Reserve moves to cut rates would further hurt the US dollar. Paul, a congressmen representing Texas, is also on the House Financial Services Committee and the Joint Economic Committee. He is a strong advocate of sound monetary policy.

The sub-prime bubble he points out was caused by rates as low as one percent maintained by the Fed under Alan Greenspan which led to reckless lending and a property bubble. Now the Fed was giving its own 'stimulus' by cutting rates.

"This is a bit of a fiction, too, because the problem comes from artificially low interest rates," he pointed out.

"And we can't solve the problems of a weak dollar by printing more dollars."

"So, I think the dollar is still going to remain under attack, because you can't solve the problem of too much credit stimulus by more credit stimulus, because it will just lead to a weaker dollar. And I think they [Fed] are between a rock and a hard place."(...)"

Boa pá!!! Vamos alastrar o cancro e expandir a NATO!!!!

Ron Paul sobre a NATO:

"With this victory, however, NATO's raison d'etre was destroyed. The alliance was created to defend against a Soviet system that as of 1991 had entirely ceased to exist. Rather than disbanding, though, NATO bureaucrats and the governments behind them reinvented the alliance and protected its existence by creating new dragons to slay. No longer was NATO to be an entirely defensive alliance. Rather, this ``new'' NATO began to occupy itself with a myriad of non-defense related issues like economic development and human rights. This was all codified at the Washington Summit of 1999, where the organization declared that it would concern itself with ``economic, social and political difficulties ..... ethnic and religious rivalries, territorial disputes, inadequate or failed efforts at reform, the abuse of human rights, and the dissolution of states.'' The new name of the NATO game was ``interventionism''; defense was now passé.
Nowhere was this ``new NATO'' more starkly in evidence than in Yugoslavia. There, in 1999, NATO became an aggressive military force, acting explicitly in violation of its own charter. By bombing Yugoslavia, a country that neither attacked nor threatened a NATO member state, NATO both turned its back on its stated purpose and relinquished the moral high ground it had for so long enjoyed. NATO intervention in the Balkan civil wars has not even produced the promised result: UN troops will be forced to remain in the Balkans indefinitely in an ultimately futile attempt to build nations against the will of those who will live in them.
Mr. Speaker, we are now called on to endorse the further expansion of a purposeless alliance and to grant $55.5 million dollars to former Soviet Bloc countries that have expressed an interest in joining it. While expanding NATO membership may be profitable for those companies that will be charged with upgrading the militaries of prospective members, this taxpayer subsidy of foreign governments and big business is not in the interest of the American people. It is past time for the Europeans to take responsibility for their own affairs, including their military affairs.
According to the Department of Defense's latest available figures, there are more than 250,000 U.S. military personnel deployed overseas on six continents in 141 nations. It is little wonder, then, that when a crisis hit our own shores--the treacherous attacks of September 11--we were forced to call on foreign countries to defend American airspace! Our military is spread so thin meddling in every corner of the globe, that defense of our own homeland is being carried out by foreigners.
Rather than offer our blessings and open our pocketbooks for the further expansion of NATO, the United States should get out of this outdated and interventionist organization. American foreign policy has been most successful when it focuses on the simple principles of friendship and trade with all countries and entangling alliances with none. "

The Man Behind The Curtain

The Man Behind The Curtain
By Chuck Baldwin
January 25, 2008

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" is the famous quote
from the wizard in the movie classic, The Wizard Of Oz. However, when
it comes to national and international affairs, many, if not most,
Americans seem to have taken the mythical wizard's advice. They seem
oblivious to the man behind the curtain. And make no mistake about it:
there is a man (or group of men) behind the curtain.

The American people seem mesmerized by the smoke and mirrors of the
political and media elite. For the most part, the people of this
country seem totally unaware that while the global elite who run this
country passionately promote the "war on terrorism," those same elite
are also violently attacking the liberties of the heartland. While
they create a gargantuan Department of Homeland Security for our
"protection," they are using that very same department to eviscerate
the constitutional protections of our republic. While they insist that
we are dependent upon oil from Saudi Arabia, they are ignoring giant
oil and natural gas discoveries located under the frozen tundra of our
49th State (and other places). The elite have brilliantly turned the
drumbeats of war against Islamofascism into a giant smokescreen to
hide their insidious plans to wage a different kind of war against the
American people.

The war against the American people is waged on a hundred fronts and
with a hundred agendas. But one word seems to best describe the heart
of the strategy. And that word is FEAR. The problem is, the man behind
the curtain has misdirected people's fears.

The American people are continually besieged with the imminent threat
of what little, pipsqueak, piss-ant countries such as Iraq and Iran
pose to the safety and security of America. Hogwash! Iraq was never an
imminent threat to these United States and George W. Bush and rest of
his globalist neocons always knew it. Neither is Iran an imminent
threat to America. And the Bushkies know this too.

Iran does not even have the capability of inflicting serious damage
upon Israel, much less the United States. It has a ragtag army. No
navy. No air force. No nuclear weapons. No really sophisticated
weapons of any kind. Oh, they harbor several thousand fanatical sand
people who live in caves and who huddle together in antiquated forts.
They carry AK-47's, and some short-range shoulder-fired missile
launchers. Yet, the Bush propagandists have conservatives worked up
into a frenzy, all prepared to support a nuclear attack against
Tehran. Believe me, if Israel thought that Iran was a serious threat
to its security, it has the ability to take that country further back
into the Stone Age than it already is.

Beyond that, if Bush believes that we are truly fighting a war against
terrorists in Iraq, why does he give $20 billion worth of military
weaponry to Saudi Arabia? Have you ever seen or even heard of a Saudi
army? How about a Saudi navy? A Saudi air force? You haven't heard of
it? Neither has anyone else.

What we do hear from former CIA insiders is that much of any military
hardware shipped to Saudi Arabia often winds up in the hands of Muslim
terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda. In addition, readers are
aware that many, if not most, of the al-Qaeda insurgents that are
shooting and killing our soldiers and Marines in Iraq do not come from
Iraq--they come from Saudi Arabia! So much for Bush's "war on
terrorism."

What the globalists behind the curtain are doing is using the "war on
terrorism" to distract the American people from the war they are
waging--against us!

How else can one explain the fact that, while the neocons are waving
the war flag against a schizophrenic but impotent Iran, they totally
ignore the very real threat posed by the People's Republic of China.
If the American people want an enemy to be concerned about, China, not
Iran, is the place to look.

But do not ask Defense Secretary Robert Gates whether we should be
concerned about Red China. He recently said, "I don't consider China
an enemy." Pray tell, is Gates entirely stupid or just unbelievably
naпve? Or, is he trying to deliberately deceive us?

Besides the commonly reported foibles of Red China selling the United
States tainted food, poisoned toys, and crappy automobile tires, not
to mention all the junk Americans are forced to buy (produced with
slave labor, no less), the communist nation is also known to be
sending hordes of spies into our country. They are using a
multi-billion dollar trade surplus with the United States to build a
modern army and navy. In fact, they have developed a very
sophisticated submarine fleet capable of delivering nuclear missiles
(including some with multiple warheads) anywhere in the world. They
routinely track our submarines and use satellite technology to track
our troop movements.

And speaking of satellites, when is the last time you heard any
notable media personality or government spokesman acknowledge the fact
that Red China is now even using advanced weaponry to shoot satellites
out of the sky? In fact, experts predict that by 2010 China will be
able to knock out most of our satellites in low-earth orbit. You mean
the man behind the curtain did not tell you that? I wonder why?

Plus, do not lose sight of the fact that China's growing military is
underwritten by American corporations along with the political
establishment within both major parties. It is American technology,
American materials, and American wealth that is enabling Red China to
create a very sophisticated and menacing global threat. But, again,
the man behind the curtain does not want you to know that.

Instead, the man behind the curtain--along with his water boys
Giuliani, Romney, Huckabee, McCain and members of the media--are
facilitating Red China's usage of the Panama Canal and the new NAFTA
superhighway to allow China to increase its foothold in the government
and commercial markets of the U.S. And don't overlook the fact that
the communist country is not only buying up vast amounts of the U.S.
debt, it is buying up vast amounts of private debt. And we hear nary a
peep from the man behind the curtain.

The other thing the man behind the curtain does not want us to see is
the impact that the forever war is having upon our economy. America is
being pushed to the brink of recession, maybe even depression. The
chief culprit of our economic woes is excessive federal spending. And
the biggest hole into which all this deficit spending is being dumped
into is none other than the forever wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Nearly $1 trillion dollars has already been spent or is in the process
of being spent, and conservative estimates of an additional $1
trillion will be spent to fight this forever war in the near future.

In addition, Bush's oil buddies have successfully manipulated the
economy to the point that Americans are paying over $3 a gallon for
regular gasoline. Diesel is running even higher than that. (Gas was
$1.25 a gallon when G.W. Bush became President.) And economists are
predicting that gasoline will rise to over $4 a gallon in the very
near future.

At the same time, however, it is very likely that we discovered enough
oil and natural gas reserves beneath the surface of Alaska (and other
places) to supply all the oil and natural gas needs of the United
States for the next 200-300 years. But, guess what? Not only are we
not bothering to drill for these resources, our government and oil
industry moguls will not even acknowledge that such resources exist.
Once again, the old wizard creates his smoke and mirrors and implores
us to ignore that man behind the curtain.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have just scratched the surface. But the
bottom line is this: we have been had! Furthermore, the only
Presidential candidate who understands any of this is Congressman Ron
Paul. But don't expect any of our media or political elite to get
behind Mr. Paul. Why? The man behind the curtain doesn't like Ron
Paul, and that is putting it mildly. He knows that Ron Paul threatens
the global elites' Machiavellian plans more than any other single
political figure today. This disdain for Dr. Paul does not apply to
other Republicans, of course.

The truth is, if the man behind the curtain has his way, he would much
prefer an establishment Republican to be elected this November. Oh,
don't get me wrong: neither Hillary nor Obama will provide much
resistance to the globalist goons that are hiding behind the curtain.
It is just that when a liberal Democrat is in the White House,
conservatives and Christians seem to come out of hibernation and
actually start resisting some things. But when a Republican is in the
White House, the little goblins behind the curtain are free to wage
their war of globalism and elitism against an unsuspecting and sleepy
electorate.

Therefore, it does not matter to a tinker's dam whether it is
Giuliani, McCain, Huckabee, or Romney who wins the election this
November. The man behind the curtain will still produce his smoke and
mirrors and create more fear and panic over any and every convenient
distraction in the hopes that the Munchkins will not wake up in time
to realize that the one who needs to be feared (and fought) is none
other than the man behind the curtain.

IRAN PRESS TV - Tehran,Iran:

Dr. Paul's prescription for prosperity By Texas congressman Ron Paul

Republican presidential hopeful Ron PaulFollowing is the full length text of presidential hopeful Ron Paul's comprehensive reform package which he believes will revive the US economy:

Introduction: America became the greatest, most prosperous nation in human history through low taxes, constitutionally limited government, personal freedom and a belief in sound money. We need to return to these principles so our economy can thrive again. When enacted, my plan will provide both short-term stimulus and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity. Other candidates talk a lot about stimulus packages, but my record stands alone. I have fought for these measures for years as a member of Congress and will make them a top priority as president. Ron Paul, a 10-term Republican Congressman from Texas's 14th District, is currently the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee's Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade, and Technology. He has been named "Taxpayers' Best Friend" for 10 consecutive years by the National Taxpayers' Union. Ron Paul is also the author of several books on monetary policy and economics.

Republican Debate: Mitt Romney & Ron Paul Score Points

"So who won the Republican debate in Florida? It certainly wasn't John McCain or Rudy Giuliani. Mike Huckabee wasn't bad but wasn't good. But Mitt Romney had his best debate of the campaign season so far and shockingly wild card Ron Paul scored some great points as well. No, I'm not signing on with the wild bunch that supports him, but give the man his due, he sounded great on the stage.(...)

Congressman Paul performed at his best when he ticked off the many ways on why he believes that Republicans have abandoned their traditional conservative principles, including unbalanced budgets, massive increases in the size of government, infringing individual freedoms, and failing to strictly follow the Constitution. Hmm, not bad, and believe me, I am no fan of Dr. Paul.(...)"

Pontos importantes:

Germany's Collaboration with KLA

PRISTINA/BERLIN/THE HAGUE
(Own report) - The trial against a close collaborator of Joachim Ruecker, the German UN administrator in Kosovo, is drawing to a close with the concluding declarations before the International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague due to begin this week. The International War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia had charged the former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj with ordering - and even participating himself in - torture and numerous murders of Serbs, Roma and Kosovo Albanians in 1998, a year prior to NATO's aggression against Yugoslavia. While being a commander of the KLA, Haradinaj, according to intelligence circles, was also the leader of a powerful Mafia organization. He enjoys close ties to the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) including its current Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Joachim Ruecker. In a discussion with german-foreign-policy.com, the journalist Boris Kanzleiter explained that high ranking UN officials helped intimidate witnesses due to testify in The Hague against Haradinaj. The structures of organized crime in Kosovo, in which Haradinaj is said to play an important role, extend all the way to Germany. It is being reported that German government authorities prevented investigations of Kosovo Albanians residing in Germany.

Command Headquarters
Last week the prosecutor of the International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague demanded 25 years imprisonment for Ramush Haradinaj and two of his closest collaborators. The indictment is dealing with incidents in 1998 that led to an escalation of tension in the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and served to legitimize NATO's aggression in March 1999. These incidents took place in the mountainous Dukagjin region in Western Kosovo bordering Albania and Montenegro, the home of the Haradinaj-Clan. In 1997 and 1998, "the Haradinaj family estate (...) had been expanded to become a command headquarters for the KLA," reports the journalist Boris Kanzleiter in a discussion with german-foreign-policy.com.[1] Kanzleiter has been doing research in the countries of the former Yugoslavia since several years.

Total Control
The indictment of the War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague charges Haradinaj, who, in 1998, commanded KLA operations in the Dukagjin region from his family estate and his close collaborators: "The common criminal purpose of the JCE (Joint Criminal Enterprise) was to consolidate the total control of the KLA over the Dukagjin Operational Zone by the unlawful removal and mistreatment of Serb civilians and by the mistreatment of Kosovar Albanian and Kosovar Roma/Egyptian civilians, and other civilians, who were, or were perceived to have been, collaborators with the Serbian Forces or otherwise not supporting the KLA."[2] The indictment also states: "over the course of several days following 19 April 1998, KLA attacks forced out or killed virtually every Serb civilian remaining in the KLA controlled parts of the Dukagjin Operational Zone." The murders were aimed at the elimination of all non-Albanian members of the population to edify an "ethnically pure" state structure.

All the Way to Germany
Following the end of NATO's war against Yugoslavia in 1999, Haradinaj transformed his consolidated positions, established with the help of the KLA during the aggression, into a political power base. In 2000 he founded his own political party, the "Alliance for the Future of Kosova" (AAK). In December 2004 he was even elected Prime Minister of Kosovo, but had to vacate that position in March 2005 because of his trial pending in The Hague. Even today in Kosovo, Haradinej is seen as the leader of an influential group in organized crime (OC). The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND - Bundesnachrichtendienst) classified him in 2005 as a "key player" in the network between politics, business and internationally operating OC structures in Kosovo.[3] The BND drew the conclusion that Haradinej's network of smugglers was operating "throughout the Balkans", extending "into Greece, Italy, Switzerland and all the way to Germany."[4]

Close Partner and Friend
Irregardless, the UN administration in Kosovo (UNMIK) maintains very close ties to Haradenej. The former head of UNMIK, Sören Jessen-Petersen referred to him as a "close partner and friend". Boris Kanzleiter told german-foreign-policy.com, "Jessen-Petersen's successor, the German diplomat, Joachim Ruecker, also has a close relationship to him. Ruecker reinforced Haradinaj's position prior to the opening of the trial in The Hague through an ostentatious meeting with him in Pristina.[5] "Over the past few days, accusations were made that high-ranking UNMIK functionaries were directly involved in the intimidation of witnesses," says Kanzleiter. These accusations are to be taken seriously in light of the fact that last year a witness against Haradinaj was killed in an unsolved auto accident. Back in 2002 three witnesses and two investigating officials were assassinated in the context of the trial against Haradinaj's clan.

Names
Contrary to what one could be led to believe through the trial in The Hague, Haradinaj's activities in Kosovo are not out of the ordinary. Several German security administrations' reports have been published in excerpts. They point out that there are several powerful Mafia organizations seeking to attain political offices in the southern Serbian province that is preparing to postulate its statehood. In a study contracted by the Bundeswehr (German military) and completed at the beginning of 2007, it was reported that "under the noses of the international community, several multi-million Euro organizations have developed out of old KLA structures" linking political ambitions with their criminal activities and "exercising extensive control over the governmental machinery."[6] Back in 2005, the BND named several people with leading positions in the organized crime of Kosovo, including the current Prime Minister and a member of the current parliamentary executive board.

Straight From Berlin
Up to now this information of the security administration has had no consequences. Meanwhile complaints of an insufficient prosecution of suspected Kosovo criminals are even being heard in Germany. The publicist Juergen Roth reported in 2006: "already in the summer of 2005, the State Offices of Criminal Investigation of Bavaria and Lower Saxony tried to convince the Federal Office of Criminal Investigation to open a centralized investigation concerning the known [Kosovo-Albanian - author's note] clans and individuals in Germany" because "many criminal culprits from the entourage of the KLA have settled in Germany."[7] "Yet this demand was refused, even though the Austrian Federal Office of Investigation and the Italian police strongly insisted that their German colleagues finally initiate these investigations. The rejection (...) - according to a confidential source in the Austrian Federal Office of Criminal Investigation - came straight from the Interior Ministry in Berlin."

Massive Support
In fact, back in the 1990s, Germany was used by former KLA commanders and present day Mafia bosses for their preparations of the secessionist struggle against Belgrade - which is an often used explanation for the current conspicuous impunity. According to Erich Schmidt-Eenboom, a specialist on intelligence services, the KLA was being financed "with millions since the beginning of the 90s mostly originating from Albanians in exile in the USA, Switzerland and Germany."[8] "These activities were not just tolerated, they were massively supported" [9] writes the publicist Juergen Roth, "leading, to say the least, to political friendships."

Meetings
Roth dealt also with a Kosovo Albanian family clan from Northern Germany that was suspected of involvement in the KLA financing in the latter part of the 90s. The clan is also accused of various illegal dealings.[10] The accusations have yet to be finalized through the court. Still, according to research presented by KFOR, the clan had close business relations with Ramush Haradinaj, on trial in The Hague, occasionally through high-ranking contacts in government circles. According to Roth, "both the former German Foreign Minister, Klaus Kinkel (in 1998) and later the director of the BND, August Hanning, met with the head of the Northern German clan." Today Hanning is State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior.

Florida GOP Debate - 2ª Parte

Apenas Paul tentou fazer tropeçar o General McCain.

Evidence that the GOP campaigns are united against RP

Louisiana: It appears that Ron Paul supporters outnumbered the supporters of any of his opponents. But since this was predicted, the supporters of Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, and Mitt Romney, cooperated to set up a "fusion" slate of unpledged candidates for Delegate.

Dollar's Fate Sealed

This was published in The Blade newspaper and was read the following Sabbath to the entire congregation of the Worldwide Church of God in Toledo, Ohio by Pastor George Kackos, after introducing me as the newest baptized member.

The Blade Reader's Forum
Monday, June 18, 1979

To the Editor of The Blade:
Our dollar is doomed. Its fate is certain to be sealed soon when the European Economic Community, united by the fear of Communist aggression, allows its dream of the European Currency Unit to take full effect.
That will startle the slumbering world, awakening it out of its false euphoria that Europe must depend on the United States for military protection and for the stability of a forever fluctuating, sick dollar that has served its purpose and is "over the hill."
The trauma of the decline of the Deutsche Mark in value was a festering sore that prepared the way for Adolf Hitler. So it is today with inflation, the dollar's lack of value, and the Communist threat.
The idea of a united Europe that will exercise unimaginable power ought to be feared as a Frankenstein monster. As with the false hope that Hitler's dream generated which ended tragically in the nightmare of death and destruction, so also shall this imminent "empire" be ushered in with praise. But in the end all shall count it as a curse.

After reading this, my Grandmother Vivian Hoover wondered where I got my information from, since she had never heard of the ECU (European Currency Unit). I told her The Plain Truth magazine wrote about it. She replied something like, "Well, some of us still work for the dollar." What would she think today?

*My former name was David Allen Hoover, which was legally changed to David Ben-Ariel in 1989, as mentioned within God-Given Names.

I wanted to see it, but I didn't want to see it. I'm talking about the "gay cowboy" movie called Brokeback Mountain (even though I read Jake Gyllenhaal, one of the two major actors - "Jack Twist," wants it to mean much more than that to its audience).

National Catholic Register on Ron Paul

Today's headline piece in the National Catholic Register, "Ron Paul Draws Passionate Support", by Charlie Spiering features two quotations from yours truly:

Paul stands alone among the Republican presidential candidates as one who voted against the Iraq war, stating that it was unconstitutional, since it never received a congressional declaration of war. If elected president, Paul promises to withdraw troops from Iraq.

Thomas Peters, who runs the blog American Papist, contributes to a blog called Catholics for Ron Paul. He noted that since the Vatican hasn’t spoken magisterially about the Iraq war, Catholics can continue to debate the issue. “He [Paul] has philosophical and rational reasons for why he thinks that American involvement isn’t the best choice,” said Peters. “He examines the question using principles of just war theory, specifically speaking about the Christian tradition of a just war,” he added.

Paul mentioned the Vatican’s comments regarding the Iraq War when paying tribute to John Paul II’s legacy. “The Pope’s commitment to human dignity, grounded in the teachings of Christ, led him to become one of the most eloquent spokesmen for the consistent ethic of life, exemplified by his struggles against abortion, war, euthanasia and the death penalty,” he said on the floor of the House of Representatives on April 6, 2005, four days after the Pope’s death.

Although initially a supporter of the death penalty, Paul changed his position after studying the issue throughout his political career.

Some religious voters remain skeptical about a vote for Paul, as his strict interpretation for the Constitution pits him against federal legislation to ban prostitution, drugs and homosexual “marriage.”

Peters said, “Ron Paul voted against the marriage amendment, but only because he thought it was non-constitutional, not because he doesn’t think marriage isn’t a union of a man and a woman.”

Ron Paul addressed the March for Life yesterday, but sadly I missed it. There were several Ron Paul supporters at the March, some of them carrying "Ron Paul for Life" banners.

Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade) endorsed Dr. Paul for President yesterday, as Casey Khan predicted on Monday.

Study: False statements preceded war

"A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses."

The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism. (...)

The study counted 935 false statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.

"It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaida," according to Charles Lewis and Mark Reading-Smith of the Fund for Independence in Journalism staff members, writing an overview of the study. "In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003." O caminho que todos os "pro-life" devem perseguir: a descentralização da decisão

"(...)Most readers of this website probably know that McCorvey never actually had an abortion, but instead put the child up for adoption. She became a pro-life activist in 1995, and she later converted to Catholicism.

In the long run, McCorvey’s endorsement of Ron Paul may not make much difference, but it does highlight the fact, on this 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, that only one candidate has a real plan for reducing the number of abortions performed in the United States. After three-and-a-half decades of lip service to the cause of life, the Republican Party no longer can be trusted on this issue. It’s time, as Ron Paul proposes, to return the issue to the states, where, in our federal system, it belongs, so that local pro-life activists can begin to unravel the Culture of Death that has prevailed in this country since 1973 and to bring about, in some states at least, a Culture of Life."
