Southern Queensland office closures

Queensland Mission Australia staff in flood-affected areas have been forced to close their office doors as waters rapidly move through the state’s south-east.

We understand that the following services are closed today due to accessibility issues for staff:

• C4C (Communities for Children)
• Nightspot in Woodridge
• Pathways Inala
• PCB
• RAI Inala
• RAI Ipswich
• Reconnect Gold Coast.
• RAI Caboolture
• Toowoomba Reconnect

• Oxley Employment Solutions
• St George Employment Solutions (which will be closed until the end of the week due to power failures).
• Stanthorpe outreach office
• Stones Corner Employment Solutions
• Warwick Employment Solutions
• Toowoomba NEIS

Earlier today the Brisbane River burst its banks at West End, and heavy flooding is expected as water from Toowoomba makes it way towards the city.

Brisbane City Council has posted a temporary and partial archive of flood flag maps for the Brisbane City region at this link. These are potential flood areas and may or may not be affected by the pending flood waters.
